Project 1: 2005 Designer Showcase Home, Penngrove

In April of 2005, I was asked to come to the rescue of a project in Penngrove that had been underway for over a year. It was the Classic Home Showcase house, a newly-built 3,249 square foot property on aprox. 1/2 of an acre. It was being presented by the Sonoma Wine Country Chapter of the Interior Design Society, and was to be the location of a series of special events spotlighting health & social issues, the proceeds of which were to benefit the Women’s Cancer Awareness Group.

When I arrived, the front & back yards were dirt patches that had been heavily trampled by all of the construction that had been going on for the past year. And to add a little extra stress, we had a limited budget AND just 2 weeks to turn the area into something befitting a designer showcase house! Quite a challenge!
